Discussion of Standard on Languages and
Countries proposed by Dr. Knoppers of
o Do not create a standard that incorporates the content of other standard’s contents.
o Reference standards rather than to include content to preserve interoperability and to minimize maintenance requirements.
· Convener requests volunteers for Task Group Leader. He will fill in for now.
· Editorship for Part 5.
o Someone to shepherd the document out for ballot to FDIS. – Doug Mann will continue this effort to finalization.
o Someone
to be Editor for Part 5 replacement.
Volunteers sought. Base document
will probably be the proposal that Frank Farance presented in
· Jim Mercurio will take over putting NCITS L8 ballot comments into the comments resolution template.
· Multiple ballots are in the offing. Each will need vote and comments for resolution.
· Remainder of time will be spent on specific Open Issues and proposals. Doug Mann will present and document results of discussions.
